Another debutant, Dot Rotten (formerly Young Dot) has shot to fame via his appearances on Westwoods BBC 1Xtra show and his infamous outburst on top Dj Logan Sama's show. After achieving YouTube fame Dot ditched his old alias and is now known as Dot Rotten which has indicated a new chapter in his career. So get ready for the new era, which he has blessed 'New Skool Grime' , of which he is the king.
Dot Rotten has worked hard in the studio, and has produced all of his tracks as a result. He also produces music for other mc’s; one example is his former teammate P Money’s album 'Money is Power'.
His lyrically dense album consists of mainly serious grime tracks which all of his fans will enjoy. There are up-tempo songs such as 'Is It War' and ' I'm a Leader ' in which Rotten experiments with auto-tune. Rotten talks of coming up and establishing himself in the game and tracks like 'This Year' and 'Rotten and Voltage' will certainly do that.

Tinchy released this album back in 2007; however I feel that it is still one of the best grime albums out in the shops at the moment! This is because the album has variety; from dance tunes such as 'Dance 4 Now' and banging grime tunes such as 'Follow' which was included in the aDULTHOOD soundtrack and 'Not Like Me'. On the other hand, I believe that nobody would disagree when I say that 'Breakaway' is the best track on the album. There are many other tracks which feature members of the Ruff Sqwad collective and other artists such as 'Goldielocks'. The Stryderman has done well by keeping his circle tight and choosing his fellow crew members 'Rapid' and 'Dirty Danger' to produce many of his songs along with 'DaVinche' and GoldieLocks'. This album shows that only Tinchy Stryder has truly earned the title 'The Prince Of Grime'. I am eagerly anticipating his next album, but while we are waiting I really urge you to purchase Star In The Hood!

I recommend this to any Grime fan as this album consists club bangers such as ‘Be Cool’ which features Wizzy Wow , and emotional songs such as ' Stop My Pen From Crying' in which Wretch pours out his emotions on the . In addition, for those who favour the use of metaphors and punch-lines , then the tracks entitled 'Take This From Me' and 'Swaggalicious' featuring another 'The Movement' member Scorcher are for you. Wretch 32 boasts that his debut album is 'flying off the shelves' hence, you should get to the shops a.s.a.p and 'cop dat disc'!
